Our day at Cornbury
Written by Utkarsh
Saturday 14th September the Cool Ridings Eventing Day at the Cornbury House Horse Trials was not only an incredible experience, but it also gave me the perfect setting for some truly organic networking.
The day itself was filled with exciting moments, from an inspiring talk by a dressage expert to walking the cross-country course, which deepened my understanding of the skill and precision required in equestrian sport. But what made it even more rewarding was how effortlessly connections were made throughout the day.
I had the opportunity to meet and chat with some incredible individuals, including Professor Green and David Howden, in an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Conversations flowed naturally, with no pressure or formality. It was the kind of environment where people were genuinely interested in getting to know each other, and the connections formed felt both meaningful and valuable. The whole experience was filled with learning, but it was the organic networking that stood out—where relationships grew effortlessly, through shared moments and genuine interactions.
By the end of the day, I felt like I’d not only gained insights into the equestrian world but had also formed worthwhile contacts and friendships that will last well beyond the event itself. The balance of education, company, and connection made for a truly memorable experience.
